Gettysburg College, located in historical Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, is seeking an Assistant Athletic Trainer. This is a full-time, 10-month (some summer commitments) administrative position reporting to the Director of Athletic Medicine and Sports Performance (Head Athletics Trainer). The assistant athletic trainer will assist the athletic training staff in providing a safe and healthy environment for our student-athletes to compete. The successful candidate will assist in providing emergency care, initial treatment, follow-up care, rehabilitation and successful return to competition. It is expected that the assistant athletic trainer would be able to perform all athletic training skills and be a proactive, contributing member of a successful, highly respected athletic training team. This position involves working various nights and weekends, occasional holidays and travel.

A bachelor’s degree is required, and a master’s degree ispreferred. Candidates should have two to five years of experience as an
NATABOC
, Certified Athletic Trainer. The candidate must be Board of Certification (
BOC
) certified and licensed or eligible to hold a license by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Instructor rating in
CPR
and First Aid would be beneficial. The successful candidate will have the communication skills and cross-cultural abilities to maximize their effectiveness with diverse groups of students, colleagues and community members. The individual will organize experiences in health-related issues that would benefit our student-athletes, coaches and summer campers. Salary is commensurate with experience and complemented by an excellent benefits package.
