The Athletic Department seeks a full-time, 9-month(potential 12 - month position) Assistant Athletic Trainer To work with the Head Athletic Trainer to direct the operations of the athletic training room. Work with 16 Varsity and 4 Junior Varsity teams (approximately 300 student-athletes) in care and injury prevention. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will perform assessments of acute and chronic injuries. Provides assistance with the appropriate additional medical staff such as EMS and will support NCAA compliance within the Department by promoting an atmosphere of compliance with NCAA rules within your area and monitoring compliance by all others involved with the program. As a member of the Athletics Department, the Assistant Athletic Trainer represents the mission of the institution. A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate cultural competence and must value the principles of diversity and equity.
The approved salary for this position is $43,000.00 annually..

Bachelor's Degree in related field and National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) certification required. Two-three years related experience along with strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills. Must maintain confidential student and health information. Must Maintain state licensure, continuing education requirements (50 units/2 years), and current certification in first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and automatic external defibrillator (AED) use.
