Position Summary Information

| Primary Purpose |
The athletic program at Appalachian State University operates on the premise that intercollegiate athletics is an integral part of the institution’s overall program of education. Master’s degree required

| | Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
The Assistant Athletic Trainer will cover sports as directed by the Chief Strategy Officer – responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Prevention, treatment, management, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries
• Daily athletic training room operations
• Coverage of events and practices for sports as assigned
• Supervision of athletic training students
• Administrative duties assigned by the Chief Strategy Officer
