Assistant Athletic TrainerCoastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following position: Assistant Athletic Trainer in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. Coastal Carolina is a NCAA Division I Institution and a member of the Sun Belt Conference. Interested applicants should be passionate about the ability to work in a dynamic environment that serves the student-athletes well-being and being part of a Sports Performance team. Duties include, but are not limited to:• Perform duties of athletic trainer consistent with regulations of national certification board (BOC) and the South Carolina Athletic Trainer Practice Act under the supervision and guidance of the Athletic Medical Director and/or Team Physician;• Perform duties under the supervision of the Director of Athletic Training or designee;• Works under the professional supervision of the Athletic Medical Director, perform evaluation and assign appropriate treatment protocols to injuries related to student-athlete participation in Coastal Carolina University Intercollegiate Athletics Program;• Works under the professional supervision of the Athletic Medical Director, assist with coordinating coverage of Sports Performance Center to counsel student-athletes and initiate treatment/rehabilitation protocols;• Assist with coordinating all activities of Sports Performance Center servicing all athletic programs;• Assist with coordinating coverage of all practices and competitions for all intercollegiate athletic programs;• Travel with designated programs;• Assist with secondary insurance claims and keeping all medical records and filing system up-to-date;• Supervise resident or student athletic training staff;• Employee must maintain and provide proof of appropriate BOC certification, South Carolina Athletic Training Licensure, and CPR certification; and• Perform any other duties assigned by the Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics and University Recreation, Deputy Director of Athletics or his designee. Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field of study is required. The following certifications are also required: NATA-BOC and CPR/AED. Candidates must be eligible for South Carolina certification. A master’s degree is preferred. Must possess strong written and oral communication skills; be detailed oriented; be passionate about continuing education; be dependable and be willing to be part of Sports Performance Team. Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field of study.
Master’s degree preferred.
NATA-BOC Certification, and CPR/AED Certification required. Additionally, must be eligible for SC Certification.
