Purpose:
The Assistant Athletic Trainer will supervise and assist with all phases of the athletic training program for a NCAA Division II program sponsoring 12 sports at Lincoln University. The Assistant Trainer is responsible for the prevention, evaluation, management, and rehabilitation of injuries. These duties should be completed in a manner that is consistent with the Core Values of Lincoln University and the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC).
Essential Job Functions:
Perform athletic training administrative duties including:
Ability to travel with teams when needed and work evenings/weekend hours.
Maintain BOC, and Missouri license credential.
Other duties as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Other duties as assigned by Head Athletic Trainer and/or Executive Athletic Administration.

The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle the fall including the use of a computer keyboard and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, or balance the employee and must frequently lift and/or move up to 70 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color perception, peripheral vision.
The noise level in the office work environment is usually moderate. During game conditions, the noise level is often loud.
