Salary Range: $4,158 - $8,058/Monthly 

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Sunday – Saturday, hours to be arranged; ends on or before June 30, 2024; exempt classification.

Essential Functions: Under general supervision, incumbent performs the full range of clinical athletic training functions, which involves the planning, organization, and delivery of daily athletic training services to students involved in athletics. Work assignments may involve related activities and other duties as assigned. The incumbent will plan, organize, and deliver daily athletic training services to students involved In athletics; develop and administer rehabilitation programs for athletic injuries, including assisting in scheduling and assigning students for therapy; coordinate athletic training programs and assist in program development, including coordinating training room operations; coordinate or assign other Athletic Trainers and provide direction and training to less experienced Athletic Trainers or student trainers/interns; coordinate drug prevention programs and applicable drug testing requirements for student athletes; assist coaches in designing and implementing condition programs; assist in maintaining insurance records and monitoring and verifying insurance billings; and assist in developing and monitoring the program budget.   

Required Qualifications & Experience: A Master's degree from an accredited four year-college or university in Kinesiology or a related field of study. The incumbent must possess and maintain BOC certification. In addition, the incumbent is required to possess and maintain certification in CPR/AED (cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillation) for the Professional Rescuer and first aid. Advanced knowledge and ability to work without supervision with all Athletic Trainer duties. The incumbent must have demonstrated ability to supervise athletic training room in the absence of head athletic trainer; develop and administers rehab programs for athletic injuries, including pre and post surgery without supervision; assists Head ATC with coordinating training room operations, including scheduling; supervise student workers and volunteers to athletics training room, provides direction and training to less experiences Athletic Trainer and student workers; coordinate drug testing when head ATC is away from campus, assists with notification process of student athletes; advise coaches on modifying conditioning programs for injured athletes; assist with claim form distribution and collection of forms and bills; and to assists with inventory control and supplies ordering. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability to work in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the California State University. Desired Qualifications: Previous experience providing athletic training at the high school or college level as an intern or certified Athletic Trainer.
