Job Summary:

The role of Assistant Athletic Trainer will include but is not limited to, injury prevention, evaluation, management/treatment of athletic injuries, short and long term rehabilitation, and documentation of athletic injuries. Having good communication skills is essential to be able to coordinate care with physicians, coaching staff, and the strength & conditioning staff. A passion for athletic training along with a strong work ethic, flexibility, resourcefulness, and the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment are essential skills. Within this role, the Assistant Athletic Trainer must be able to work independently, as well as part of the whole athletic training team. Being available to work evenings, weekends and to travel to away competitions is necessary.

Skills and Qualifications:

The skills and qualifications that you possess will include:

• Previous experience as an Athletic Trainer.
• National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification Certified Athletic Trainer.
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training.
• First Aid / CPR / AED Certified at the BLS or Professional Rescuer Level.
• New Hampshire State Athletic Training licensed or be licensed by start date.
• Be able to successfully pass the State of New Hampshire background check.
• Have previous experience working in a college or university setting would be preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license plus to ability to travel with the University teams as required.
