| Position Overview |
The Athletic training staff is responsible for the medical care for varsity student-athletes. This position will function as a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) for assigned sports and will act as a liaison between physicians, administrators, coaches, student-athletes and parents for those sports assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine. This position, which is mission critical, is essential to ensuring that our student-athletes are receiving the best care possible. This care will be consistent within the scope of practice defined by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA), along with NCAA guidelines. This position will provide prevention, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions without direct supervision.

| Duties and Responsibilities |
1. Prevention and care of Athletic Injuries
2. Administer Emergency Care and First Aid
3. Evaluation and Management of Athletic Injuries
4. Rehabilitation of Athletic Injuries
5. Athlete Education and Counseling
6. Supervision and Administration
7. Serve as medical liaison between team physicians, coaches, administrators, student-athletes and parents.
8. Opportunity to serve as a preceptor in the Master of Athletic Training program at Marquette University.
9. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.

| Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities |
• Master’s Degree required in related field. NATABOC required.
• Once hired, must obtain Wisconsin state licensing.
• CPR/AED Certification required.
• 1 year experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer required.
• This position will require evenings, weekends, and travel.

| Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities |
• 3 years collegiate experience as Certified Athletic Trainer preferred. Additional certification and coursework preferred.
• Values compatible with and supportive of Marquette’s mission as a culturally diverse, Catholic Jesuit University desirable.
