Job Description

The Assistant Athletic Trainer reports to the Director of Athletics and Head Athletic Trainer, and assists in all aspects of athletic training and is responsible for time management, budgeting and athletic training facility management. Qualifications: Provide Athletic training services for intercollegiate sports, evaluation and treatment of injuries, designing and supervising rehabilitation programs, pre-practice and game preparations and referral of student-athletes to appropriate Physicians. Maintaining computerized medical records and documenting athletic training needs on injured student-athletes to coaches. Assists the Head Athletic Trainer with the overall operations of the athletic training facilities, including ordering and inventory of all athletic training supplies. Athletic Training coverage includes practices, games (home and some away) and postseason competition. Become familiar with NAIA and KCAC policies and regulations and participate in any college and departmental training and continued educational opportunities. Multilingual skills highly preferred.
