Job Responsibilities
The Assistant Athletic Trainer assists in the daily operation of the two Athletic training facilities and will assume the responsibility of the proper medical care, prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. Primary team assignments will include wrestling and men’s and women’s tennis. At times during the year, you might be asked to assist with coverage of other sports. Travel with wrestling is required.

Preferred Qualifications
A master’s degree. Demonstrated experience in intercollegiate athletics, particularly in injury prevention and rehabilitation. Advanced rehabilitation techniques such as: Graston, FMS, active release therapy, or other manual or IASTM methods.
Additional Comments
Must have the ability to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and other constituents on campus. Â Must have understanding of current athletic training techniques in regards to the recognition, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. Experience working with a variety of sports is beneficial. Experience working as a member of a comprehensive sports medicine team is crucial. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations required.
