Assistant Athletic Trainer

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has an amazing opportunity for individuals excited and committed to become an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. As an Assistant Athletic Trainer, you will provide athletic training needs for assigned teams as well as coordinate care with the head athletic trainer, sports medicine physicians, and assist with the inventory of athletic training supplies.Under the direction of the Head Athletic Trainer, you will assist and supervise the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of student-athlete injuries to maintain maximum physical fitness for participating in athletic competitions.

The work schedule will include evening and weekend work and some team travel as needed in support of assigned athletic varsity sports and events. Rose-Hulman will financially assist with continued education credits that maintain athletic training certification and licensing. In addition to, the candidate must be National Board Certified and Indiana licensure eligible.

Qualified candidates will hold a bachelor's degree in athletic training and two to three years of related work experience is required. Minimal fiscal management, time management, organizational, and program coordination skills are necessary. Computer literacy is required, specifically in spreadsheets. Must be able to work and meet timelines with minimal supervision. Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential; one must be able to effectively speak to student-athletes, parents, coaches, staff, and medical personnel. The ability to write routine reports and correspondence is required. Must be able to exercise diplomacy in all facets of the position.

Preferred candidates will have a master's degree in athletic training or related field and two to three years of related work experience.
