The Assistant Athletic Trainer responsibilities will include:
Apply Now·        Intercollegiate athletics team coverage and travel with assigned team(s). Primary sport team will be Volleyball with other team/sport coverage to be determined.Â
·        Supervision of Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainers and athletic training students in an accredited graduate entry-level athletic training curriculum.
·        Summer sports camps and summer workout coverage.Â
·        Assist with the administration of inventory, maintenance of equipment, yearly budget, equipment and supplies purchasing, insurance claims, and supervision of daily operations of the athletic training rooms.Â
·        Comply with all rules and regulations of North Dakota State University, the NCAA, the Summit League, the Valley Football Conference, and the Big 12 Wrestling Conference.Â
·        Evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate injuries/conditions of all student-athletes.
·        Refer injuries to team physicians and specialists when necessary.
·        Carry out prescribed treatment plans and rehabilitation protocols as directed by team physicians and/or other medical specialists.
Advertised Salary:
Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
·        Master’s Degree in Athletic Training or related field.
·        NATA-BOC Certified Athletic Trainer.
·        2 years of successful experience in an intercollegiate athletic training setting.
·        A demonstrated commitment to high academic standards for athletic training students and their ability to succeed clinically.
·        Demonstrated record of professionalism.Â
·        Evidence of ability to interact positively with athletic training students, student athletes, colleagues and the public.Â
·        Evidence of strong organizational skills and effective oral and written communication skills.Â
·        Evidence of compatibility with the philosophy of intercollegiate athletics at North Dakota State University.
·        Eligible for North Dakota Licensure.
Preferred Qualifications:
·        Previous experience with NDSU sports medicine as a student, graduate assistant or intern.
·        Bachelor’s degree from an Accredited Athletic Training Curriculum.
