The Assistant Athletic Trainer responsibilities include but are not limited to: Prevention, treatment, management, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for the Women’s Basketball program Daily athletic training room operations Coverage of events and practices for Women’s Basketball (and other sports as assigned) Supervision of athletic training students Administrative duties assigned by the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Student-Athlete Health and Well-Being The athletic program at Appalachian State University operates on the premise that intercollegiate athletics is an integral part of the institution’s overall program of education. Priority is given to high standards of both academic and athletic quality — the goal being the complete development of the student-athlete.At Appalachian State University, student-athletes will be provided with the opportunity and encouraged to progress toward a degree of their choice and the opportunity to develop athletic abilities in an environment consistent with high standards of academic scholarship, sportsmanship, leadership, and institutional loyalty. The intercollegiate athlete representing App State will be a bonafide student pursuing a degree program and an amateur competitor.
