The assistant athletic trainer will provide and coordinate athletic training services for assigned teams and other student-athletes; maintain records and supplies; coordinate care with sports medicine physicians and coaches and assist in the supervision and management of our athletic training room facility. The assistant athletic trainer reports directly to the Manager of Sports Medicine. Sport assignments are assigned at the discretion of the Manager of Sports Medicine. This is a full time, 12 month position with benefits. Some holiday, evening and weekend work will be required.

Master's Degree
Two full years' experience working as an athletic trainer in a multi-sport environment,
Possess a valid, current NATA B.O.C. certification (in good standing)
Possess an Ohio Athletic Trainers license (or eligible to obtain),
Able to demonstrate excellent written skills with attention to detail
Valid driver's license, maintains a low-risk driving record and is able to be insured by the university.
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
Experience in a Division I, intercollegiate athletic training program,
Experience documenting and detailing medical assessments and evaluations,
Experience working with physicians and other medical professionals,
Possess CSCS certification,
Experienced and knowledgeable with NCAA Regulations and HIPPA,
Able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills and experience managing multiple tasks,
Possess a knowledgeable and professional demeanor and is able to demonstrate excellent verbal, intercommunication and interaction skills with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a diverse student-athlete and staff population.
