The Assistant Athletic Trainer will be expected to support the mission of Bryn Athyn College to enhance students’ civil, moral and spiritual life and enhance the focus of BAC Athletics to build a program that fosters commitment, sportsmanship, and charity. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will be expected to aide the Head Athletic Trainer in the execution of a quality athletics health care program. The Assistant Athletic Training position is a fulltime/exempt position.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:
1) Assist the Head Athletic Trainer in providing quality athletic training services for BAC student-athletes.

1) Assist the Head Athletic Trainer in providing quality athletic training services for BAC student-athletes.
Apply Now2) Assist in the care of all student-athletes through practice and game coverage, injury prevention, evaluation, management, treatment of new and pre-existing injuries, short-term and long-term rehabilitation of athletic injuries, education and counseling of student-athletes, and athletics related health care administration in consultation with and under the supervision of the team Physician and Head Athletic Trainer.
3) Act as a preceptor to student athletic trainers
4) Assist in the management of the athletic training room (inventory, scheduling, etc.)
5) Make referrals and interact regularly with team physicians and other health care consultants.
6) Maintain comprehensive records of athletic injuries and treatments.
7) Travel to away contests as requested by the Head ATC and/or Athletic Director.
8) Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• B.S. in Athletic Training from a CAATE accredited institution
• NATABOC Certification
• PA State Licensure or eligible for PA state licensure
• Current CPR, first aid and automatic external defibrillator certification issued by an authorized agency.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
Preferred
• M.S. in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, or related field
• Experience in collegiate athletics setting beyond undergraduate clinical rotations
Knowledge and Abilities
• Ability to work as part of a Health care team dedicated to collaboration and the college goal of integrating instruction and student services as a way to create and maintain a supportive student-learning environment.
• Knowledge of and ability to accurately interpret laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to Student Health Services.
• A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, and to work effectively and harmoniously with students, colleagues, staff, and others.
• Demonstrated commitment to the continuous improvement of health and wellness for students and ability to create an environment conducive to the development of student services innovations.
