| Position Specific Responsibilities |
Keeping our student-athletes healthy and safe is a core focus of the Shocker Athletics Student-Athlete Experience.
Show dedication to our student-athletes and their safety & welfare. We are looking for a forward-thinking, innovative professional who is focused on contributing to and addressing the unique sports medicine needs of tennis student-athletes. You are to be a consistent advocate for student-athletes that can manage expectations and dynamics with a variety of constituents. Devotion to excellent service and cutting-edge techniques including customized care to student-athletes in their optimal health & performance journey is our priority. Maximization of resources, collaboration with other Health & Performance professionals, experience developing specialized sports medicine programming and usage of alternative treatment therapies/methods would represent a Champion Candidate. Understanding the tennis culture & traditional operations of the sport will help set you up for success.

| Summary of Responsibilities |
Provides injury prevention, risk management, basic acute care, effective rehabilitative care, performance enhancement, and physical reconditioning relating to injuries and illness to athletes.

| Essential Functions |
- Conducts athlete intake assessments and maintains medical records for each athlete.
- Evaluates and manages injuries. Schedules and implements treatment and rehabilitation programs and/or other interventions as necessary and prescribed.
- Creates rehab programs for injured athletes, utilizing therapeutic modalities, and assisting in overall body conditioning of an injured athlete to manage their recovery and return to activity.
- Develops conditioning programs for non-injured athletes to prepare them for practice or competition.
- Maintains equipment used in therapy interventions.
- Attends athletic practices and games, providing coverage with on-field evaluations and management of injuries, and referral for specialized care as needed.

- Experience working as a primary athletic trainer for a sports program.
- Knowledge of cutting-edge trainings & treatments for high-performance athletes – including alternative treatments.
- Development of programs for both injured and non-injured athletes. Ability to connect with a diverse population.
- Commitment to the highest level of student-athlete welfare.
