Apply NowAssist in the overall health care delivery system for assigned athletic teams. Responsible for compliance with all
NCAA
rules and regulations.
Establish all medical preparations and coverage at practices, contests (both home, away, and championships) for assigned sport programs. Prepare athletes for competition through various techniques of taping, bandaging and stretching, including emergency care of acute injuries.
Assist and monitor physical rehabilitation of athletic related injuries. Apply therapeutic modalities, exercise and education to student-athletes while considering the physical and psychological aspects of their injuries.
Coordinate student athletic trainer education. Design, assign and schedule all educational lecture/seminars for our student athletic trainers.
Oversee inventory and supply ordering. Coordinate with other staff athletic trainers, year end inventory and supply purchase orders. Manage a running inventory throughout the year of all supplies for three training room facilities and submit orders and re-orders on an ongoing basis.
Perform all other duties as may be required.
Master’s Degree in related field from an accredited institution required.
National Athletic Trainers Association Certification.
Rhode Island Athletic Trainer License.
First aid and
CPR
Certification.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
