The Assistant Athletics Director & Business Manager provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the financial, administrative, and business functions within the Department of Athletics. This position is supported in managing departmental budgets, financial reporting, procurement, compliance, and operational planning. The Assistant Athletics Director & Business Manager ensures fiscal accountability, operational efficiency, and compliance with institutional, conference, NCAA, and regulatory guidelines while supporting student-athlete success and departmental excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and administration of departmental operating and capital budgets. 
  • Prepare financial reports, budget forecasts, audits, and related documentation for university leadership and external agencies. 
  • Ensure compliance with university financial policies, NCAA regulations, and applicable federal and state requirements. 
  • Coordinate vendor relationships, contracts, procurement activities, and payment processing. 
  • Support game operations, athletic events, travel coordination, and scheduling activities.
  • Coordinate administrative support for coaches, athletic staff, and student-athletes. 
  • Assist with onboarding, payroll coordination, timekeeping, and personnel documentation for athletic department staff and student workers.
