(Administrator I)

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated hiring salary is $80,000 - $87,000 per year and is competitive and negotiable depending on the strength of qualifications. This is a CSU Management Personnel Plan (MPP) position.

The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 15 paid holidays a year. Job Summary

The Assistant or Associate Athletic Director for Finance & Business Operations provides financial leadership and oversight of all financial operations for the Athletics Department, including budget development and management, procurement, compliance, financial reporting, and long-range planning. This position will help develop annual budgets and a long-term financial strategy, while driving process improvements that enhance efficiency, accountability, and strategic decision-making across all areas of the department. The role ensures fiscal integrity and compliance with NCAA and institutional regulations, audit readiness, and financial sustainability, while partnering with university leadership to support informed decision-making, optimize revenue, and advance the continued growth of Fresno State Athletics.

  • ### Advanced knowledge of financial and budgetary principles, including forecasting, financial modeling, and position control. Research techniques, statistical principles, and procedures. Procurement practices and procedures. Principles and practices of effective leadership, motivation, and performance evaluation Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and budgets and provide strategic recommendations.
