Job Summary

 

This is a dual level posting. The position will be hired at either the Assistant Athletics Director or the Director level. The hiring manager will make the determination based on qualifications and experience. The Director of Sports Nutrition (Football) must be able to translate the latest scientific evidence into practical application.  They will be a lead expert in providing nutrition counseling, menu planning, and medical nutrition therapy to 100+/- football student-athletes. Serve as subject matter expert for dietary supplements and evaluation for safety, legality, efficacy, and cost. Participates in policy and procedure creation for various nutritional areas such as eating disorders, food safety, food handling and more. Communicates with various entities across the Athletics and University communities to ensure best nutritional practices. Ensure compliance with all appropriate regulating agencies. Responsible for managing the Football Sports Nutrition budget.
