Job Summary

Assists the prevention, assessment and treatment of student athlete injuries. Prescribes routine and corrective exercises to strengthen muscles and to maintain student-athlete performance. Designs customized individual training programs. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from a

CAATE

accredited athletic training education program or related field

BOC

Certification

Must be licensed as an Athletic Trainer (AT) in the State of Ohio prior to start date.

Current

AED

/

CPR

certification

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree from a

CAATE

accredited athletic training education program

1-2 years of relevant athletic training experience working in high school, collegiate, or other sports medicine setting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Knowledge of

NCAA

and conference rules and legislation and committed to abiding by them.

Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

Strong organizational and excellent interpersonal skills and have a “Customer Focus” attitude and delivery.

Ability to build and maintain professional relationships and work as an individual contributor and an effective team player, in addition to being highly organized, self-directed, and forward-thinking.

Ability to motivate, coach and develop others.

Possess the ability to effectively plan and coordinate.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint
