Grays Harbor College Athletic Department invites applications for the position of Assistant Coach for Intercollegiate Men’s Baseball. Reporting to the Head baseball coach, and the Director of Athletics, the selected candidate will be responsible for working with the head coach of the baseball program, ensuring compliance with the athletic department, college, and Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) guidelines. The Assistant Coach holds the primary role in fostering a holistic collegiate baseball journey for student-athletes, emphasizing academic success, competitive athletics, and personal growth opportunities. This is a part-time, non-tenure position without benefits eligibility.
This position is for the 26-27 academic school year and can start as soon as July 1, 2026.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the head coach in planning and conducting practices, including individual skill development.
  • Teach baseball fundamentals, techniques, and strategies to prepare student-athletes for intercollegiate competition.
  • Support game preparation, including scouting reports, strategy development, and in-game adjustments.
  • Recruit student-athletes in compliance with Northwest Athletic Conference and institutional guidelines.
  • Coordinate and participate in recruiting activities including campus visits, tours, and ongoing communication with prospects and families.
  • Scout prospective student-athletes at high school games, showcases and tournaments.
