Albright College is seeking applications for an Assistant Baseball Coach and Assistant Equipment Manager. For this full-time position, assist the head coach with day to day operations of the baseball program to include on field coaching responsibilities; off campus and on campus recruiting; skill development of players; use of video and academic program. Additionally, assist the Equipment Manager with equipment room operations including event setups, laundry, equipment distribution and all other duties as assigned. Compensation includes benefits. Bachelor’s degree is required as is knowledge and understanding of NCAA and Division III philosophy. Collegiate playing or coaching experience is preferred

Essential Job Functions:
1.Provide the set-up and take down for various athletics events
2.Provide, with necessary assistance, the set up and take down for events scheduled in the athletics facilities.
3.Provide set up and take down for internal activities and outside rentals, These will be done with reasonable advance notice as determined by the athletic director or the assistant athletics director.
4.Perform occasional custodial tasks to insure that the athletic facilities are in satisfactory condition for competitions which could include cleaning stadium rest rooms and appropriate athletic facilities, as needed, before, during and after special and athletic events.
5.Monitor and report malfunctions of equipment.
6.Take initiative in the planning process and identify tasks to be accomplished for athletic and events set up.
7.Assist Equipment Manager with team laundry, equipment distribution, collection and repair, or other tasks as identified.
8.Recruit student athletes in support of the baseball program.
9.Assist in day to day operations of the baseball program to include practice planning, game planning, film review, academic monitoring, retention activities and other areas assigned by the head baseball coach.
10.Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Prerequisites:
1.COMMUNICATION
a. Excellent communications skills are required.
2.SKILLS
a. Ability to work with a variety of constituents is required.
b. Computer skills are required.
c. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
3.EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE
a. Equipment: Experience in athletics is preferred.
b. Baseball: college playing experience is preferred.
c. Previous coaching experience is preferred.
d. Demonstrated commitment to building an inclusive and equitable Albright community, as described in Albright College’s Inclusivity and Equity Statement.
4.EDUCATION
a. Bachelors Degree is required
