The Assistant Baseball Coach/Recruiting Coordinator will work in coordination with the Head Baseball Coach in the operation of a NCAA II Program; maintain a thorough knowledge of, and abide by all NCAA, G-MAC and institutional rules and regulations. Failure to do so may lead to suspension or possible termination; attend all NCAA Compliance Meetings as offered by the department; and successfully complete the NCAA DII University Modules annually.

12.Plan and organize all aspects of team travel.
13.Assist in Alumni Relations.
14.Report any violations of compliance regulations.
15.Ability to coach the student athletes in game and practice situations.
16.Meet Recruiting Goals.
17.Assist with Camps and High School Showcases.
18.Assist with Summer League Placements.
19.Organize a team that is competitive and representative of the University’s philosophy and compatible with its mission.
20.Perform all other duties deemed appropriate for the position.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. In some situations, the noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Travel
This job requires travel with the athletic team to competitions and events. A valid US Drivers’ License with a safe driving record is required, and the energy and ability to travel. Some evening and weekend work, and some overnight travel are expectations of this position.
Required Education and Experience
1.Bachelor’s Degree
2.Public relations and promotional skills.
3.Knowledge of NCAA and conference rules and regulations including recruiting, eligibility, and certification.
4.Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
5.Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff and the public.
6.Strong organizational, oral and written communication, time management and interpersonal skills.
7.Ability to protect confidential information and present a professional demeanor.
8.Team-oriented individual with willingness to take initiative and be flexible, and the ability to work under occasional pressure.

Preferred Education and Experience
1.Master’s degree
2.Two or more years of coaching experience at the collegiate level.
