To assist the head coach in directing the overall planning and execution of a Division I baseball program.
Bachelors Degree
Three years coaching experience as head or assistant coach at the collegiate or professional level and/or three years intercollegiate playing experience and/or three years professional playing experience.
50% – Teach and coach student-athletes in order to develop and acquire the extensive tactical, technical and physical knowledge that’s required to be successful at the intercollegiate level and beyond.
20% – Coordinate coaching staff in talent assessment, recruiting, database management, letter system, writing schedule, official and unofficial campus visit to, phone calls, summer and fall and high school and junior college games evaluations.
15% – Assist with the administration of the baseball program including budget management, fundraising, summer camp administration, team travel arrangements, scheduling of competitions, traveling with team, and staff development.
10% – Ensure the baseball program, including all staff members and student-athletes, is in compliance with
NCAA
, Horizon League, and University regulations which includes the monitoring of the student-athletes academic progress to maintain their academic eligibility.
5% – Miscellaneous other duties as assigned.
