Post University Cheer Team is a game-day-focused team with the opportunity to reach collegiate skills that are performed at athletics games and college events. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Cheerleading Assistant Coach to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of cheerleaders, developing routines, game day and teaching proper techniques alongside the head coach. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cheerleading and be able to effectively communicate with students and faculty. Responsibilities: • Assist in planning and executing practice sessions and game day routines. • Develop and maintain positive relationships with within the university. • Demonstrate proper technique for stunts, tumbling, jumps, and dance. • Ensure safety of all participants by following proper safety protocols. • Motivate cheerleaders to reach their full potential. • Organize and lead team practices, study halls and game days assisting head coach. • Attend University events and other cheerleading events. Qualifications
Cheer experience and or Cheer Coaching experience. We are looking for someone who is committed to being a part of a newer Coed Cheer Team. Providing a safe and positive environment for our cheerleaders to learn and grow withholding positive characteristics and attributes.
Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the head Coach with recruitment, outreach, follow up and retention.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for cheerleading and be able to effectively communicate with students and other staff members.

Assist the head coach with planning and executing practices and game day routines.
•
Develop and maintain positive relationships with cheerleaders and University administrators and faculty.
•
Demonstrate proper technique for stunts, tumbling, jumps, and dance.
•
Ensure safety of all participants by following proper safety protocols
•
Motivate cheerleaders to reach their full potential.
•
Attend cheer related events, meetings, or school events, team bonding etc.
Compensation: Part-time (Stipend)
Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
Demonstrate commitment to NCAA and institutional guidelines and regulations.
Understanding of and commitment to the NCAA’s primary purpose of maintaining intercollegiate athletics as an integral part of the educational program and the athlete as an integral part of the student body
Demonstrated success working in intercollegiate athletics or highly related field.
Ability to recruit and hire qualified student-athletes.
Demonstration of commitment to academic and fiscal integrity
Proven leadership skills – both soft and hard skills must be demonstrable.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form.
Experience in negotiating and maintaining vendor contracts where appropriate.
Possess strong analytical skills - desire and ability to use data for decision making – maintain a metrics-based organization (again – this is part of our culture)
Proven experience at working in a collaborative matrix environment where individuals and teams are reliant upon each other for their collective success regardless of reporting structure.
