Job Description:
This is a ten-month position assisting in the direct provision of injury evaluation, athletic training, and rehabilitation services for student athletes in collaboration with the athletic training staff, coaches, and team physicians.
Essential Functions of the Position:
Clinical Preceptor for the Athletic Training students and lab assistant in the Athletic Training Program.
Providing athletic training services in an NCAA Division III intercollegiate athletic program with primary responsibilities to include medical care for various sports teams.
Maintains a work schedule within the Athletic Training Room in cooperation with the department.
Attend scheduled athletic practices and events as assigned.
Travel with the collegiate athletic teams.
Act as a liaison between the Athletic Training Students and the Clinical Education Coordinator.
Attend all athletic training department meetings.
Assist with summer Master of Athletic Training classes (5-10 days).
Guest Lecturer within the Athletic Training Program based on clinical experience.
Requirements:
Master's degree in athletic training or in related field required.
Certified Athletic Trainer who is in good standing with the Board of Certification required.
Ohio OTPTAT Board Licensure (Current or able to obtain prior to August 2023).
Minimum of 2 years clinical experience as a Board of Certification Certified Athletic Trainer required.
Current CPR for Professional Rescuer/Basic Life Support Certification.

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred clinical expertise in an area defined by CAATE.
Experience as a preceptor for a CAATE accredited ATP.
DAT, specialty, or other related clinical degrees demonstrating clinical expertise.
