Description

Georgia Military College is searching for an Assistant Coach to fill an opening on its junior college football staff. The Offensive Assistant/Graduation Coach position is responsible for teaching the knowledge and technique required for players for the position to which he/she is assigned, preparing the field for practice and games, completing the necessary paperwork and schedule for student- athletes. Will also be responsible for offensive practice organization, practice schedules, scouting reports and offensive film breakdowns. Off-campus and on-campus recruiting. Will also serve as the Graduation Coach for football student-athletes. Will be responsible for academic success plans and registering student-athletes for class. Monitor class progress via Starfish and ensure all are on track for graduation using GMC’s academic progress requirements. Applicants must be familiar with the State of Georgia Futures financial assistance and FASFA procedures. Will also work closely with the Financial Aid Office to ensure accurate completion of student aid requirements.

Every member of this TEAM has a part in RECRUITING students, REGISTERING students and RETAINING students- performance will be continuously evaluated. The Offensive Assistant/Graduation Coach will report to the Offensive Coordinator and the Head Coach /Athletic Director.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree

Experience: 2 years coaching experience OR comparative time playing at a collegiate/professional level

Skills: Knowledge of NJCAA and NCAA eligibility rules and procedures
