The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for two Assistant Coaches to provide direct and independent coaching of student-athletes who compete in Division I, NCAA Women’s Lacrosse for the University of Florida. The Assistant Coaches are responsible for promoting academic excellence as well as the assessment and recruitment of prospective student-athletes which includes creating individualized development plans for each student-athlete and contributing to overall game and match plans. Other responsibilities include media relations, inventory and purchasing, facilitating team meetings, budget line-item management and other administrative duties as assigned.This posting will remain open until qualified candidates are chosen.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree Coaching experience at the collegiate or professional level Organized individual with strong administrative, interpersonal, and computer skills Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations Ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds and with high energy, intense personalities Ability to work a non-standard work week which will include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extensive overnight travel
