Job Description
Softball 2nd Assistant Coach
Assist in the administration and coaching of an NCAA Division I Softball program as directed by the Head Coach. Duties include but are not limited to: assist with the coaching at all practices and competitions; recruitment of prospective student athletes on and off the Boston College campus including coordination of official visits, travel arrangements, and tours; serve as liaison for administrative units. Execution of all duties must demonstrate commitment to the academic and athletic development of all student-athletes and must be executed in full compliance of all university, ACC, and NCAA policies and procedures.
Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $47,050 to $58,800; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
Requirements
Must have technical knowledge of the sport of Softball, as well as understanding safety standards for Softball; strong organization and communication skills; ability to work effectively with college student-athletes, athletic staff, university and community personnel, and alumni; knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; proficient computer knowledge including Microsoft Office programs.

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
Current CPR certification required.

1-3 years of successful coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level.
Early morning, evening, and weekend work is frequently required. Travel both locally and overnight is also expected.
