General Notes
Additional hours will be required to include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Interstate and intrastate travel is required to include overnight stays. This job is not suitable for remote work and is expected to work regular on-site hours. Travel may be required.
Purpose
Support the Head Coach of Texas Athletics Soccer to achieve successful outcomes as a Division I program.
Responsibilities
Critically involved in all aspects of the program, is given specific autonomy, and contributes in key areas of the program including but not limited to these areas: Provide oversight of the Goalkeeping position and provide instruction in technique, conditioning and methods to execute and excel during competition. Assist with practice planning and coordination of team play. Assist with training, mentoring and developing elite student-athletes. Assist with successfully recruiting student-athletes to the program who are outstanding in the sport of Soccer and who are capable, responsible, accountable representatives of the University.
Significant responsibility in (but not limited to) these areas: Assist with managing external day to day operations, provide input on scheduling and team travel logistics, assist with coordinating off campus recruiting, and scouting opponents. Assist with camp administration. Ensure fiscal responsibility related to budgeting.
Develop and maintain effective interaction with student-athletes, colleagues, university staff, alumni, media, and the general public. Promote the Soccer team and University. Assist with community outreach and community events. Participate in public appearances and serve as an outstanding role model to student athletes and as a representative of Texas Athletics and the University. May represent the Head Coach at meetings, fund-raising functions and alumni events.
Drive a UT or rental vehicle on and off campus.

Report knowledge of, or reasonable cause to believe, violation(s) of state or federal laws, policies, rules, or regulations of the University, Big 12 Conference, or NCAA to IA ARMCS or IA HR.Fully cooperate with any investigation by providing complete and accurate information when requested to do so by Texas Athletics and/or the NCAA and do not influence others in any way during an investigation. Bachelor's degree. Experience as a professional soccer player or as an assistant or head soccer coach at an elite program, high school, college or pro level. Ability to collaborate with staff and provide critical thinking; consultation to achieve positive outcomes. Professional demeanor and ability to project the image of the University of Texas and the Athletics Department with dignity and grace regardless of circumstances and environments. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills to enhance interaction with student-athletes, peers, alumni, administrative personnel, and the community. Demonstrated exceptional character traits in integrity and fairness. Demonstrated commitment to The University of Texas Intercollegiate Athletics Core Values: Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, Community Engagement, Creativity, Accountability and Loyalty. Demonstrated success in recruiting elite student-athletes to participate in the sport of Soccer. Current and working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).
