Position Description

Manhattan University, an NCAA Division I institution and member of the Metro-Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), is seeking applications for Acrobatics and Tumbling Assistant Coach. The successful candidate is responsible for all aspects in assisting a competitive NCAA Division I Acrobatics and Tumbling program to include, but not limited to practice planning and execution, skill development, recruiting, scouting, video analysis, academic monitoring, and student-athlete development. Additional responsibilities may include team travel coordination, equipment management, community engagement initiatives, and administrative support within the athletics department. Must be committed to and abide by the guidelines of the NCAA, MAAC, and Manhattan University Department of Intercollegiate Athletic policy and procedures and will be expected to work cooperatively with all constituencies and campus units.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in planning, organizing, and conducting daily practices and training sessions
• Instruct and develop student-athletes in Acrobatics & Tumbling techniques, including tumbling, stunting, pyramids, and toss events
• Assist in all aspects of recruiting, including identification, evaluation, communication, and campus visits of prospective student-athletes
• Assist with meet preparation and execution, including lineup management and competition strategy
• Coordinate team travel logistics, including itineraries, transportation, and accommodations
• Maintain compliance with NCAA and MAAC rules and regulations, including recruiting and eligibility standards
• Support team culture development, leadership initiatives, and student-athlete well-being
• Assist with administrative duties such as scheduling, data management, and equipment inventory
