Serve as an Assistant to the head coach in all phases of conducting a Division I, nationally competitive baseball program in compliance with

NCAA

rules. Assist in all areas of recruiting with main areas to include data entry; correspondence, both written & telephone; answering & filing inquiry letters and updating recruit databases. Attend tournaments, evaluate and make recommendations to head coach regarding the recruitment of athletes. Assist in planning all practices and perform coaching duties such as technique instruction and drill implementation. Discuss with the head coach both team and individual strengths and weaknesses and design strategies for improvement. Provide feedback to student-athletes, both as part of practice, and through analysis of videotape from practice and match play. Assist the operations director with all aspects of the baseball camp activities including daily schedule, securing camp staff, ordering equipment, arranging facilities and dates, and creating brochures. Work in conjunction with media relations director to manage social media.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required (4 years)

Knowledge of the game of baseball including techniques, strategies, and rules

Ability to teach fundamental baseball skills

Must have knowledge of

NCAA

rules

Preferred Qualifications

Collegiate playing or coaching experience preferred
