The Baseball Assistant Coach, under the direction of the head coach, teaches and provides instruction in the sport of baseball and assists in the planning, promotion, and administration of a quality Division I baseball program.

The work hours for this position will vary by season and may entail early mornings, late nights, and weekends. Travel is required.

Qualifications and Skills

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• One year of successful baseball coaching experience at the college, professional, national time, club, or high school level
• Ability to train and recruit at the Division I collegiate level
• Ability to accept and carry out assigned program and responsibilities
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well with students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, and the community
• Ability to pass the NCAA recruiting test and have a thorough understanding of NCAA rules and regulations
• Ability to work collaboratively within the structure and framework of an Athletics Department and University
• Display a demonstrated commitment to high academic standards for student-athletes and their ability to succeed both academically and athletically is essential
• Demonstrate commitment to building a positive team culture, and commitment to personal and professional development of student-athletes

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree
• Experience as a Division I student-athlete

Salary and Benefits

Starting salary is $60,000. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
