Summary
The Assistant Coach supports the Head Coach in the management and daily operations of the NCAA sport program, contributing to recruiting efforts, training sessions, and the mentorship of student athletes to promote success in competition, academics, and personal development. This position requires a strong commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, sportsmanship, and inclusion while helping advance the overall mission and goals of the program.

Job Duties - Supports the Head Coach in developing, implementing, and executing all aspects of the sport program, including training plans, competitive strategies, and student-athlete development initiatives, while promoting a consistent coaching philosophy. - Collaborates with the Head Coach to identify, evaluate, recruit, and retain qualified student-athletes who demonstrate strong academic performance, athletic ability, and character. - Contributes to a positive, inclusive, and competitive team culture by promoting sportsmanship, leadership, accountability, and holistic student-athlete well-being. - Assists with day-to-day program operations, including travel coordination, equipment procurement and maintenance, and scheduling of practices and competitions to ensure efficient program functioning. - Supports compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and standards, serves as a mentor and advocate for student-athletes, and promotes alignment with the university’s mission, values, and strategic goals.
