UT Southern is looking for an Assistant Coach for Cross Country/ Track & Field. Reporting directly to the Cross Country/ Track & Field Head Coach, the assistant coach will support the day-to-day activities related to the softball program. Recruiting highly level student-athletes that will thrive under the UT Southern culture that encompasses “WINNING” in the classroom, venue, and in the community. This position is expected to attend all varsity team practices, conditioning, and games. The Assistant Coach is also responsible for the coordination of gameday logistics, maintenance including running course upkeep, and teaching activity courses when applicable.The Assistant Coach will be responsible for running specific track and field disciplines. This includes tracking student-athlete academic progress, coordinating team study tables, and maintaining the team's social media accounts.
Minimum Requirements
One year of coaching experience as a head or assistant coach at the High School, NAIA, NCAA, or NJCAA level or two years of coaching experience as a graduate assistant.
Preferred:
Collegiate playing experience in outdoor track and field.
