ASSISTANT FIELD HOCKEY COACH Â

Bridgewater College, a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference and NCAA Division III, is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Field Hockey Coach, to begin immediately. This is a full-time position, reporting to the Head Field Hockey Coach.Â

RESPONSIBILITIES:Â Â Â Â Â

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Â

• Assisting the head coach in all facets of managing a competitive Division III field hockey programÂ

• Recruiting prospective student-athletes who fit the mission and culture of the program and the CollegeÂ

• Film analysis and breakdown, on field instruction and coaching, practice planning and game strategizing with the head coach Â

• Complying with all NCAA, conference and college policies and regulationsÂ

• Secondary responsibilities to be determinedÂ

• Assist with social media managementÂ

QUALIFICATIONS: Â Â

• Bachelor’s Degree requiredÂ

• Prior collegiate coaching experience and/or competitive collegiate playing experience requiredÂ

• Goalkeeper experience a plusÂ

• Strong organizational and communication skillsÂ

• Basic competency in Microsoft Office applications is requiredÂ

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the college’s auto insurance carrierÂ

Pay is competitive, and salary is commensurate with experience. This full-time position offers a full benefits package, including paid tuition at the College for eligible dependents.  Â

Located in the scenic Shenandoah Valley, just minutes outside of Harrisonburg and within driving distance of Charlottesville, Washington D.C., and Richmond, Bridgewater is home to approximately 1,400 full-time students from 26 states and 19 countries. Bridgewater students study across 60 majors and minors, in addition to four graduate programs and 10 pre-professional programs.
