Assistant Coach (Focus Area in Women's Basketball)

Assist women’s basketball program within the rules, policies and procedures of Wayne State College,
NSIC
, and the
NCAA
.
Assist the head coach with coaching, recruiting, administration and overall implementation of the intercollegiate women’s basketball program.
Assist head coach with overseeing and monitoring student-athlete academic success and eligibility.
Provide leadership and oversight with program compliance of
NCAA
rules and regulations.
Assist head coach with the development, coordination, and implementation of practice plans, strategies, and coaching techniques.
Assist head coach with the coordination and implementation of sports camps and leagues.
Assist in promotion, fundraising, and public relations activities for the Wayne State College Athletic Department as required.
Other duties assigned by the Head Women’s Basketball Coach or the Director of Athletics.
Bachelor’s degree plus coaching experience. Must have knowledge of
NCAA
or
NAIA
(as applicable) rules and regulations.
Assistant Coaches with teaching assignments are required to have a Master’s degree.
• Master’s degree – Required for teaching assignment.
• Three years of coaching experience at the
NCAA
Division II level (or higher)
Criminal Background and
DMV
check; valid Drivers License
Competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Attractive and comprehensive benefit package. Annual salary range is $39,354-$49,192. If hired after July 1, 2024, the annual salary is $41,026-$51,283.
