Responsibilities include assisting the head coach in all phases of the men’s football program within the college, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
Apply NowThis part-time position includes College-provided housing and a meal-stipend of $800 per semester of “Berg Bucks” dining credit, for use at on-campus dining facilities while the College is in session. This part-time position is budgeted for 550 hours per year. The successful candidate will also have the option to increase annual budgeted hours to 650 per year by providing part-time management and support of home athletic contests, the Life Sports Center, and the athletic equipment room.

Characteristic Duties & Responsibilities:
Under the general direction of the head coach, provide leadership and support to all facets of the program in advancing the mission of the College and Athletics department.
Support the head coach in administering a competitive NCAA Division III program in accordance with college, NCAA, and Centennial Conference policies.
Coach, motivate, counsel, and support student-athletes in realizing their potential for personal growth and development as student-athletes and members of the general college community.
Attend practices, training sessions, team meetings, and contests (home and away). (Specific time commitment required will be determined by the Head Coach.)
Assist in team promotion through social media and video breakdown.
Promote strong parent, alumni, and community relations.
Plan and evaluate program results.
Identify, evaluate, and recruit prospective student-athletes.
Attend meetings and training as required by the head coach, Athletics department, and College.
Assist in achieving team success within and beyond the conference.
May perform other duties as assigned.
While no one person may possess all the qualifications listed below, the ideal candidate will have many of the following professional experiences and characteristics:
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
Related professional experience, or a combination of professional and athletic experience leading to a similar qualification.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the Division III philosophy of athletics and adherence to NCAA regulations regarding operation of athletic programs.
Ability to support, motivate, and educate student-athletes.
Strong planning and organizational skills are essential.
Capacity to market the sport to the various constituencies of the College.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and engage with a varied audience, including but not limited to students, parents, College employees, alumni, and community relations.
Flexibility of time necessary to make commitment to varying needs of the position.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.
Successful completion of satisfactory background checks, including but not limited to child abuse clearance, education, driving record, and national criminal background.
