Primary Responsibilities

Coaching Leadership
- Assist defensive coaching staff in practice planning, instructing, and reviewing practice video
- Assist defensive coaching staff in game preparations
- Comply with the mission and vision of Wheaton College; adhere to all College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin and NCAA rules and regulations
- Assist in scouting of opponents and preparation of scouting reports to team

Secondary Responsibilities

Spiritual Leadership
- Encourage and develop personal relationships with student-athletes
- Encourage a holistic environment for the well-being of student-athletes
- Serve as a consistent role model and resource for student-athletes
Administrative Leadership
- Assist with all aspects of the recruiting process including evaluation of prospects, visit coordination, and ongoing recruiting communication (i.e. calls/texts/mailings)

This job description is intended to represent key areas of responsibilities; specific assignments may vary from time to time depending on the operational needs of the department.

Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree; - Collegiate playing experience; - Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes on and off of the football field; - Excellent communication skills; - A commitment to the values of NCAA Division III athletics and Christ-centered education; - Strong organizational skills; - Competency in MSOffice computer programs

Physical Requirements

The person in this position must be able to drive/transport athletes; set up and take down football equipment; and the ability to lift, move, and carry up to 25lbs.

FLSA Status ‐ Full-Time Exempt – (1.0 FTE status)
