Washington Athletics has an outstanding opportunity for an Assistant Coach for Women’s Softball to join their team.

About this Opportunity

The primary duties of University of Washington Athletic Department coaches are to teach, instruct, educate and impart knowledge to student-athletes regarding the rules and fundamentals of their respective sport with the goal to continuously improve and achieve athletic excellence.

This position reports to the Head Softball Coach and will participate in a nationally successful Division 1 softball program. The assistant coach will represent the University of Washington and Athletics Department with the utmost professionalism, integrity and excellence. This position will build, support, and reinforce the student athlete’s experience in personal, academic, and sport development and excellence. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the head coach with coaching and administrative responsibilities.  Coaching athletes during practice and competition. Recruiting prospective student athletes. Scouting and evaluation of opponents. Participate in clinics.

  • Build and promote public relations. May assist with media relations, fundraising and alumni relations. Prepare NCAA compliance logs, playing and practice declarations. Assist with video operations.

  • Perform related duties as required.
