Overview

The Assistant High-Performance Coach supports the physical development and athletic performance of student-athletes across multiple sport programs. This position assists with the implementation of strength and conditioning programs that promote athletic performance, injury prevention, and overall student-athlete well-being. Responsible for compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations. This is a part-time position, up to 15 hours per week or as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Design, implement, instruct and progress sports specific training programs to college varsity sports teams. Prepare year-round training programs that will enhance the athleticism of student-athletes and reduce injuries. (50%)
  2. Prepare speed and agility sessions and pre-practice/competition warm up protocols. Attend assigned team practices, games, and scheduled conditioning sessions. (30%)
  3. Perform daily/weekly/monthly equipment maintenance duties as assigned by head coach. (10%)
  4. Oversee work study students in the performance of their daily tasks. (10%)
