Teaches and coaches current student-athletes and recruits prospective student-athletes in the sport of Lacrosse. Assists the Head Coach in the management of the overall program.
55% - Essential - Teaching and Coaching: Coaches practice sessions, workouts, and games. Teaches student-athletes the fundamentals and strategies required to compete at the highest level of intercollegiate athletics. Teaches student athletes the rules of competition. Teaches student athletes to safely compete and ensures compliance with sports medicine policies. Instructs student athletes regarding team concepts. Attends preparatory meetings and assists in designing and developing practice and game plans. Stays abreast of sport techniques, strategies, rules, and skills. Works directly with student-athletes. Effectively communicates strategies, objectives, techniques, and concepts to team members. Performs other necessary instructional and coaching duties.

20% - Essential - Recruiting: Identifies and recruits quality student-athletes who have a reasonable opportunity for success both academically and athletically at Clemson University. Maintains well-developed organizational and interpersonal skills. Collaborates with the Head Coach and Compliance Services with respect to recruiting evaluations, communications, and travel.
20% - Essential - Program Management and Operations: Assists the Head Coach in the management of the overall program as directed. Examples of assistance may include, but are not limited to, providing support to Athletic Academic Services, monitoring student-athlete academic progress, enforcing academic policies, participating in public relations efforts to promote the program, coordinating scheduling, administering team travel, equipment management, personnel management, etc.
5% - Essential - Professional Development: Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of the sport. Complies with all University, Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules and regulations. Engages in continuing education with the Compliance Office and within the sport.
