Anderson University’s Athletic Department invites applications for Assistant Coach for Men’s and Women’s Tennis. Anderson University is an innovative, entrepreneurial, premier comprehensive Christian liberal arts university affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Convention. The Assistant Coach is responsible, in coordination and in support of the Head Men and Women’s Tennis Coach, for the development and maintenance of an effective and competitive NCAA Division II tennis program. This position will assist with administration, recruitment and retention of all student athletes by developing a supportive Christian faith culture within the program while adhering to all NCAA rules and regulations. Additional responsibilities include performing general maintenance to the tennis court facility, ordering and maintaining supplies as needed, scheduling facilities and transportation for matches and practices, and collaborating with the department of Sports Information on film edits, social media postings, and other digital initiatives that highlight the university’s tennis program.

Knowledge equivalent to that gained through completion of a bachelor’s degree in addition to prior work experience in collegiate athletics programs is required, master’s degree preferred. Knowledge and compliance of all rules and guidelines set by the NCAA Division II and South Atlantic Conference is necessary. Ability to uphold confidentiality, work collaboratively and exhibit Anderson University’s Christian mission through all interactions also required. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills essential.
