Position Overview

Athletics is looking to hire a Part Time Cross Country and Track & Field Coach. This position is critical in providing an exceptional student-athlete experience. This assistant coach is critically involved in individual skill development, which is a year round priority and race preparation, which improves the team’s competitive success. The assistant coach is a key part of the recruiting process that aids the University’s enrollment efforts. Assistant coaches are an integral part of the coaching staff and play a key role in a positive student-athlete experience. All coaches serves as teachers, skill developers, mentors, supervisors and role models for our students.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities: Assist head coach with all coaching, recruiting, retention,
  academic success and day-to-day management of the men’s and women’s cross country and track & field athletic programs.
• Support head coach with administrative duties as assigned.
• Assist in managing and operating home cross country and track & field events.
• Other duties as assigned by head coach.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Earned four year baccalaureate degree required. Masters preferred. Intercollegiate competitive experience and/or two or more year’s experience working in a collegiate cross country/track & field program and recruiting experience preferred. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations desired.
