The Assistant Coach of Men's Baseball is responsible for assisting with all aspects of an NCAA Division I Baseball program including, but not limited to, the identification and recruitment of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes; supporting the academic progress of student-athletes; preparing and conducting individual and team practices, training, and competition; fostering the academic, athletic, and personal growth of student-athletes; organizing team and staff travel arrangements; facilitating administrative duties and paperwork; managing the ordering of team meals; coordinating and administering special baseball events and representing the sports program as needed in association with promoting and fundraising for the program.
This is a 12-month contract position with the possibility of an extension.
The full salary range for the Assistant Coach for Men's Baseball is $38,700 - $61,900 annually. The expected pay scale for this position is $38,700.00 - $41,900.00 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a condition of employment, you will be required to comply with the University of California Vaccination Program Policy.

Specialized knowledge of the team sport or activity, as well as basic technical expertise in coaching principles.
Demonstrated effective problem solving and communication skills, verbally and in writing.
Current knowledge of applicable rules and standards of the affiliated athletic conference, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) or National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), as well as other associations and agencies to which the campus adheres, and, at all times avoid any and all violations of these rules and standards.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with athletic participants.
Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making; be an effective problem solver and effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
