POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for an Assistant Coach to provide direct and independent coaching for student-athletes who compete in Division I, NCAA Men’s Golf for the University of Florida. The Assistant Coach is responsible for promoting academic excellence as well as the assessment of recruitment or prospective student-athletes, which includes creating individualized development plans for each student-athlete and contributing to overall game and match plans. Other responsibilities include assist with other administrative duties as assigned. Note: This position does not receive an employment contract. Employment is at-will.

Other responsibilities include assist with other administrative duties as assigned. Note: This position does not receive an employment contract. Employment is at-will.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Organized individual with strong administrative, interpersonal, and computer skills

Ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds and with high energy, intense personalities

Ability to work a non-standard work week which will include evenings, weekends, holidays and extensive overnight travel

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree

Coaching experience at the collegiate level

Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
