Characteristic Duties & Responsibilities:

• Under the general direction of the head coach, provide leadership and support in all facets of the program in support of the mission of the College and Athletics department.

• Administer a competitive NCAA Division III lacrosse program in accordance with college, NCAA, and Centennial Conference policies.

• Motivate, counsel, and support student-athletes in realizing their potential for personal growth and development as athletes, students, and members of the general college community.

• Assist with practice preparation and attend practices, training sessions, team meetings, and contests (home and away).

• Breakdown game film and create scouting reports.

• Promote strong parent, alumni, and community relations.

• Work with the head coach in creating an annual program plan and evaluating/implementing program results.

• Attend meetings and training as required by the head coach, Athletics department, and College.

• Work with the head coach in recruiting, to identify, evaluate, and recruit and retain prospective students.

• Assist in achieving team success within and beyond the conference.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

While no one person may possess all the qualifications listed below, the ideal candidate will have many of the following professional experiences and characteristics:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required.

• Related professional experience or a combination of professional and athletic experience leading to a similar qualification required.

• Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the Division III philosophy of athletics and adherence to NCAA regulations regarding operation of athletic programs.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and engage with a varied audience, including but not limited to students, parents, College employees, alumni, and community relations.

• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.

• Ability to travel and adapt to varying schedules, including evening and weekend hours, in accordance with the needs of the team.

• Successful completion of satisfactory background checks including but not limited to child abuse clearance, education verification, criminal background, and driving record.
