The Men’s Assistant Soccer Coach serves in the College Athletic Department, under the supervision of the Athletic Director and Head Soccer Coach.
The Men’s Assistant Soccer Coach assists the Head Coach in all aspects of the soccer program.
The Men’s Assistant Soccer Coach is responsible for recruiting players, holding tryouts and to assist in coaching the intercollegiate soccer team at Bryant & Stratton College.
The Men’s Assistant Soccer Coach is expected to become knowledgeable of all The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) soccer rules, including student-athlete eligibility requirements.
The assistant coach must travel with the team unless alternate arrangements have been approved by the Athletic Director and Head Coach.
As representatives of the College, all coaches and student-athletes must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. It is the responsibility of the Men’s Assistant Soccer Coach to supervise staff and student-athletes while traveling, to ensure the safety of staff and student-athletes.
The Assistant Coach must promote the academic success of student-athletes to include monitoring the academic performance of team members to ensure eligibility requirements are met; and encourages student-athletes to maintain a high academic standard.
Flexible hours for practicing and recruiting will be needed.
Assisting with scheduling, organizing, supervising, and conducting all practices and games.
The Assistant Coach may be required to drive vans to soccer games.
Other duties may be assigned by the Head Coach and Athletic Director.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Required: Soccer coaching experience at the high school level or above.
Desired: Soccer coaching experience at the college level
Desired: College recruiting experience
Desired: Familiar with the Buffalo area high schools and club teams
First aid/CPR certification is a plus.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning and leadership skills required.
Must be able to serve as a positive role model for young adults.
Familiarity with USCAA rules and regulations is a plus.
Required: Clean driving record and a valid Driver License.
Hours vary from day, evening, weekends, holidays to best fit the needs of the team.
Salary:
$6,000 annual stipend
