Characteristic Duties & Responsibilities:
Under the general direction of the head coach, provide leadership and support to all facets of the program in advancing the mission of the College and Athletics department.
Support the head coach in administering a competitive NCAA Division III program in accordance with college, NCAA, and Centennial Conference policies.
Coach, motivate, counsel, and support student-athletes in realizing their potential for personal growth and development as student-athletes and members of the general college community.
Attend practices, training sessions, team meetings, and matches (home and away).(Specific time commitment required will be determined by the Head Coach.)
Assist in team promotion through social media and video breakdown.
Promote strong parent, alumni, and community relations.
Plan and evaluate program results.
Attend meetings and training as required by the head coach, Athletics department, and College.
Assist in achieving team success within and beyond the conference.
Identify, evaluate, and recruit prospective student-athletes.
May perform other duties as assigned.
While no one person may possess all the qualifications listed below, the ideal candidate will have many of the following professional experiences and characteristics.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Related professional experience or a combination of professional and athletic experience leading to a similar qualification.
Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and engage with a varied audience, including but not limited to students, parents, College employees, alumni, and community relations.
Demonstrated commitment todiversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.
Flexibility of time necessary to make commitment to varying time needs of the position.
Successful completion of satisfactory background checks, including but not limited to education verification, driving, criminal background, and child abuse clearance required.
